CollectivView: the wall reacts to alerts from Milestone, Genetec or your monitoring system

It is 3 a.m. in a monitoring room. Twenty screens. On one of them, an indicator turns red. Nobody sees it.

It is nobody’s fault: an operator cannot watch seventy sources at once for eight hours. That is why we taught CollectivView to watch the screen in their place. Three new features complete that work.

1. An alert can come from elsewhere

From your video surveillance software, an access control system, a technical monitoring system, a simple script. Milestone can trigger an HTTP call on a rule, Genetec works by event to action: in both cases, a few lines of configuration are enough and your wall reacts.

No proprietary connector to buy, no module to install. The zone concerned gets a frame, the message goes out to every wall, the operator acknowledges with one click and the acknowledgement counts for the whole room. Exactly the same path as an alert detected by the software itself.

2. The wall no longer just warns, it reacts

You decide in advance: “when this camera reaches critical level, switch to the Intrusion scenario”. The whole screen adapts to the situation, as if the operator had done it. Except they are already picking up the phone.

3. A large message on every wall

The simplest, and perhaps the most useful: the room supervisor types a message and it is displayed large on every wall. “Level 2 evacuation, assembly point north car park”. Until now, you had to shout it.

What makes the difference

Many video walls can display what another piece of software reports to them. CollectivView now does it too. But above all it does what few can: watch the picture itself. No analytics server, no smart camera, no subscription. It measures what you show it, on the source of your choice.

An honest note: there is no artificial intelligence in there. CollectivView measures pixels. In a room where lives are at stake, software that never surprises you is worth more than smart software.
